Certificate for Teaching in Higher Education of the Bavarian Universities
Teachers at FAU can obtain the Certificate for Teaching in Higher Education of the Bavarian Universities after participating in FBZHL seminars. Through the Bavarian-wide standardized certification and the orientation towards the standards of the German Society for Higher Education Teaching (“Deutsche Gesellschaft für Hochschulschuldidaktik”, dghd), you will receive a certificate of your pedagogical-educational qualifications.
We recognize all seminars of the Bavaria-wide association ProfiLehrePlus for the certificate. Training courses from other institutions can be credited after being reviewed. Please find out which credits you need to obtain for which certificate and how to request the recognition.

The topic certificate “Inclusive Higher Education Teaching” is intended to make teachers at universities more aware of the topic “Studying with Impairments” and to give them more confidence in dealing with impaired students in everyday teaching. Within the framework of the seminars, various measures are developed to enable all persons to study and participate in university life. The certificate is offered by the University of Augsburg in cooperation with the DiZ – Center for University Teaching in Ingolstadt and is open to all teachers at Bavarian universities.
The certificate comprises 40 study units, which can be acquired by attending the topic-specific courses. Whether or not a seminar can be credited towards the certificate is noted in the seminar description on ProfiLehrePlus.
At FAU, the following seminars are offered in cooperation with the Office for Gender and Diversity, for example:
- Einführung in die barrierefreie Lehre
- Psychische Auffälligkeiten bei Studierenden
