Call for Contributions/Save the Date – „Bridging the Gap: Face-to-Face, Hybrid and Online Learning”
From October 9-11, 2023, Otto-Friedrich-University Bamberg and Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg will host the next QUADIS symposium, with the theme „Bridging the Gap: Face-to-Face, Hybrid and Online Learning“. FAU’s 8th Day of Teaching will also take place within this framework on October 11, 2023.
Educators and experts in post-secondary education are invited to contribute to the symposium. Submissions may include research results, projects, practical examples, initiatives, methods, teaching strategies, or (research) questions. The symposium focuses on developing and enhancing online and hybrid teaching methods that promote student learning. How has technology affected in-person instruction? What are the influences of in-person instruction on online teaching? What innovations have resulted from the intersection of the two? What are the limitations? What are the pedagogical challenges posed by hybrid formats? Can we prove that hybrid formats improve student learning? What effect does it have on the design of learning environments and the higher educational infrastructure?
The conference will be held in German. Contributions and submissions in English are also welcome.
